About Lauren

Lauren Hines grew up in Murray, KY, attended its public schools and earned her undergraduate degree from Murray State University. Lauren went on to attend the University of Kentucky to earn her Master’s Degree from the Patterson School of Diplomacy believing she would go into the foreign service. That changed when before entering the Peace Corps, Lauren became a substitute teacher and realized where she wanted to be was in western Kentucky working to educate students and help them achieve their dreams. Lauren spent 13 years in the classroom at Murray High School before leaving to work in her family real estate business. Lauren Hines is a Community First Democrat that believes western Kentucky needs leaders who can work across party lines and bring back tax dollars to our region so western Kentucky can grow and prosper.
